I specialize in working with local brands in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia to grow online, using tested social media strategies, analytics, and 5-star copywriting.
In 2016 I graduated with BA in Journalism, and a Minor in English, wondering if the newsroom was the place I really wanted to be. I knew I needed to be writing, so I started looking around for something where I could flex my creative muscles.
That’s actually when I found myself content writing!
I got my first freelance gig, in 2018, with a Vancouver-based makeup company writing blog content and I thought I was set. That was until I was asked if I would write captions for social media.
Of course, I said yes and soon enough I was in charge of more social media tasks. After that, I started taking courses about social media, and following other successful marketers and content creators, and learning about analytics I should be looking at.
This opportunity opened the door to social media management and I haven’t looked back, since.
But the social media landscape is forever changing, so I’m always looking to learn more and stay on top of social media, marketing, and copywriting best practices.
If I’m not working or keeping up with changing algorithms and trends, you’ll probably find me watching a Toronto Raptors game with my husband, hanging out with friends, or just listening to a podcast.
